Mrs. Bean provides a warm, accepting environment for her students, and is a strong teacher who makes her high expectations of the students known. As a result, her children strive to reach the standards she sets out for them. Mrs. Bean maintains a high level of interest in her classroom by providing opportunities for her students to shine. From performing plays, to publishing writings and conducting Science experiments, Mrs. Bean keeps her students on task and engaged. Mrs. Bean uses Open Court Reading and Everyday Math. Using the state standards as her guide, every year she chooses four Science and Social Studies themes to study in depth. To supplement her program, Mrs. Bean explores our great state with her students. Each year Level 3 takes a fieldtrip to an Arizona landmark like Montezuma's Castle or the Grand Canyon. These trips are often the highlight of the year. Level 3 has students from 8 to 10 years old in a 3rd and 4th grade multi-age  classroom.
