Treasurer ~ Angela Lewis
I was born and raised in the Phoenix/Tempe area, with the exception of high school spent in Kirkland, WA where I met my husband. After college graduation, with a marketing degree from Arizona State University, I worked in marketing with an emphasis on trade shows. My last employment before becoming a stay at home mother to four children (all of which have attended Willow Creek Charter) was as a client services coordinator/manager at a Phoenix advertising agency. Our family has lived in Prescott since 2004, with my husband commuting to Tempe as a firefighter. I am very pleased to be able to serve this wonderful school on its Board of Directors and look forward to helping it succeed in whatever way I'm needed
Secretary ~ AnnMarie Aguirre
I am a Prescott native. I attended Willow Creek Charter when it first opened and was Painted Pony Ranch. I own a Photography business & I work in radio. I have an immense love for the school. My son attends WCC and we absolutely love it. I do my best to work with as many non profits as possible. In my spare time I enjoy going to our local lakes, hiking spots and helping the community as much as possible!
Board Member ~ Terese Soto
Mrs. Terese Soto earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Moorhead State University in Minnesota in 1982 and her K-12 Art Endorsement in 1990. She has been teaching in Arizona since 1985 and in the Prescott area since 1988.She has taught as a classroom teacher in K-8 classrooms, taught Fine Arts K-8 and moved to administration in 2001, as Co-Director in 2003 and as Director in 2006. Mrs. Soto has been a part of Willow Creek Charter since its inception in 1999 and she was instrumental in creating the curriculum for the Fine Arts Program, which includes visual arts, theater, music and movement. Mrs. Soto has seen many changes in the Educational System and one common thread that stays consistent in her mind is that education is and should be all about the children. Terese believes the small family-like atmosphere at WCC enhances and enables teachers to educate students in a holistic approach that nurtures life skills as well as academics. Throughout her career, her dedication, determination, and creativity have inspired countless individuals.
Board Member ~ Tammy Westerson
Tammy lived a good portion of her life in the midwest and received her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. She and her husband Kevin have had the opportunity to live and work all over the country, but are excited to finally settle in Prescott Valley. Her travels have led her to be certified in Texas and Tennessee. Tammy is certified in Arizona to teach K-3 and holds an Early Childhood endorsement. She has taught in both district and charter schools. Her teaching experience includes both 1st and 2nd grade, but her absolute passion was teaching kindergarten. She taught Level 1 at WCC for about 4 years and retired from teaching in 2022. She loved her teaching time at WCC and is happy for the invitation to serve on its board. She hopes to stay involved by being a substitute teacher and
volunteering in the classrooms.
